Easy Start
Step 1
Begin with a 5min Food Waste Audit
to determine which model best suits your business operations and waste volume.
Step 2
Preparing and Installing Your Terra Loop
- Preparation:
Your Terra Loop composter will be delivered in a wooden crate for protection during transport. Before arrival, confirm that the installation space is clear and that appropriate handling equipment (such as a pallet jack or forklift) is available if needed. - Installation:
After removing the crate, the composter can be rolled into its designated position. If installation requires placement on an elevated surface, use suitable lifting equipment to ensure safe handling.
Step 3
Operating Procedures and Employee Training
-
Process Review: Use insights from the Food Waste Audit to determine necessary adjustments to your current waste management and collection methods.
-
SOP Development: Define new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assign a responsible staff member to manage cleaning, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
-
Scheduling: Establish a consistent schedule for feeding and emptying the composter. A common example: feed the unit Monday–Friday, allow it to process over the weekend, and empty excess material Monday morning.
-
Training and Signage: Provide comprehensive staff training and post instructional signage near the composter to ensure correct operation and maintenance.
